Golden Friendships recently hosted its much-anticipated Annual Sponsors Ball, an evening dedicated to expressing our gratitude to our generous supporters while raising crucial funds to help continue our work in the local community. From entertaining performances from four of our members, (each winners in our recent talent competition), to an amazing array of songs from Dean Park and Karen Logan, not to mention our very own Bobby and Jim giving us a few numbers, all attendees had a great night.
But it wasn’t all just fun – it provided an opportunity to showcase the support the club offers to its members, and give thanks to those local organisations, businesses and individuals who continue to support our efforts. A big thank you to all the organisations that contributed kind donations for the raffle and auction which included Malin Group, Glenhead Engineering Limited, SectorServe Group Ltd, Kooltech Ltd, Netherurd Limited, Glasgow Clan, SWG3, CPA Engineered Solutions Ltd, Allied Vehicles Group, Atlas Winch and Hoist Services, Cairnhill, Buck’s Bar Limited, Lifting For Lifting Limited, Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Auchentoshan Distillery, Loch Lomond Distillery, Biffy Clyro Touring Limited and Barrhead Travel Group. A big thank you to all those who spent time organising the event, and bidding on the night – we raised an incredible £21,400!
Thank you all! The Sponsors Ball not only celebrated the successes achieved over the past year but also sought to galvanise the community and local businesses, to continue their vital support, ensuring that Golden Friendships can expand its reach and touch even more lives in the coming year.
