Did you know, it is estimated that up to 940,000 older people (aged 65+) in the UK are often lonely – with around 270,000 going a week without speaking to a friend or family.
A significant correlation exists between loneliness and mental health, with 9 in 10 older people who are often lonely also reporting being unhappy or depressed.
By 2034, it is projected that 1.2 million people over 65 in England will often feel lonely if loneliness is not addressed. Loneliness is more prevalent among older adults, especially those living alone or experiencing a loss of social connections.

We offer not only a safe and warm place for older people in the community to meet – but also somewhere to make friends and form connections.
